Founded in 1710, New Hope is a river village community with unique charm, sophistication and beauty, nestled on the banks of the Delaware River and the historic Delaware Canal. Long known as a haven for artists, the village gained recognition as a theater town in 1939, when the Bucks County Playhouse opened in a former mill overlooking the river.
